Normally a survey of your property is done, then a date for installation of the measures is agreed. Once your measures are successfully installed, a post-installation survey will confirm your house has an improved energy performance rating. 

You can then sit back and enjoy a cosier home (which is producing less carbon emissions of course) and lower energy bills! Who doesn't like the sound of that?!
