ECO funding ( energy companies obligation) is a government led scheme which make energy companies pay toward improving the uk’s housing by installing energy improvement measures such as loft, wall insulation and heating systems to reduce house hold carbon output.

What are the requirements of ECO Funding?
Properties that can typically receive free ECO funding are ones which have a EPC rating of E, F or G these properties meet the minimum requirements set out by Ofgem. This can be determined by a retrofit assessment.
What is the process for ECO Funding? How do I claim ECO Funding?
Contact ECO warmth Scotland and find out if you qualify for free energy improvements to your property. If you qualify we undertake a survey then install your new ECO-funded energy improvement and let you enjoy the benefits.
How long do ECO funded improvements take?
Typically energy performance improvement take between 1-3 days depending on the size and complexity of the project. We aim to cause the least disruption possible and communicate with the occupier throughout.
Who regulate ECO?
Trustmark - are a government endured quality scheme for trade that work in and around the house. It gives consumers the confidence that work will be done to a high standard.
What properties qualify for funding for renewables?
Typical properties that qualify for renewables are semi or detached rural properties that are supplied with LPG or Oil. A retrofit assessor will undertake an assessment of the property to find this out.
Can Landlords claim free ECO Funding?
Yes if the tenant receives a qualifying benefit listed on our site and the property is a E, F or G rating then funding is available to upgrade your property. This will meet or better the government's minimum requirement for privately rented property by 2025.
